This Privacy Policy describes how EntropyApps ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use HabitCore (the "App"). If you do not agree with this Policy, do not use the App.
1) Information We Collect
- App data you provide: habits, schedules, reminders, daily completions/progress, and any notes or reasons you add for missed/skipped days.
- Derived data we generate (on your device): non‑identifying summaries that help the app work, such as per‑day habit events (complete/skip/miss), simple note categories/sentiment, and cached insight results used to speed up the app.
- Device data: non‑identifying diagnostics (e.g., crash logs) to improve stability and performance. Optional analytics (off by default) only sends limited, allow‑listed event names and basic parameters; not your note content.
- Purchase data: subscription status and receipts are processed by Google Play and surfaced via our subscription provider (RevenueCat); we do not store full payment details.
- Backups and exports (optional): if you export or enable backup, the files contain your app data (including notes) and are saved where you choose (e.g., your Google Drive). We store minimal backup metadata (e.g., folder ID, last backup time) to operate this feature; we do not host your backup files.
2) Why We Process Information
- To operate and improve core features (habit tracking, reminders, insights) and provide customer support.
- To provide Premium features, process purchases, and validate entitlements.
- To maintain safety and integrity of the App, including preventing abuse and troubleshooting issues (e.g., crash reports).
- With your consent for optional features, which you can turn off at any time.
3) Data Storage and Security
- Your habit data are stored locally on your device. Optional backups/exports create files you control (e.g., local storage or a location you choose).
- We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
4) Data Retention
- Local app data: persists on your device until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app.
- Backups/exports: any files you create remain wherever you save them (e.g., local storage or a location you choose) until you delete them.
- Diagnostics: crash and performance reports are retained by our provider for a limited period needed to investigate and improve stability, then deleted or aggregated.
- Purchase/entitlement records: limited data needed to validate your subscription are kept for the duration of your subscription and a reasonable period afterward as required for support and fraud prevention.
5) Sharing and Service Providers
- We do not sell personal data.
- We use specific processors strictly to operate the App. These providers process only the limited data needed to deliver their services:
- RevenueCat: subscription/entitlement validation and surfacing product/pricing details from the stores.
- Google Play Billing: billing and subscription lifecycle (including trials, renewals, and cancellations).
- Firebase Crashlytics (and optionally Firebase Analytics): diagnostics and limited usage metrics to improve stability and UX. Where Analytics is used, collection is constrained and can be disabled in build configuration.
6) International Processing
Depending on your location, data processed by service providers may be handled in countries other than yours. We take steps designed to help protect your information when it is processed in other countries.
7) Your Choices and Rights
- Access, export, or delete your local data in the App.
- Manage consent for optional features in settings.
- Request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of information we hold about you (if any), and object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
- Cancel subscriptions in your Google Play account settings. Billing and refunds are handled by Google Play.
8) Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children who are under the age required in their country to provide consent. Do not use the App if you do not meet the minimum age requirement where you live.
9) Changes to this Policy
- We may update this Policy from time to time. We will show changes by updating the Effective date above and posting a summary in the App's store listing (e.g., "What's new" on Google Play). We do not send individual emails or push notifications about changes.
- Your responsibility: Please review the current Policy. If you do not agree to the updated Policy, stop using the App and uninstall it. For paid users, you may cancel your subscription in your store account settings.
